There Are Some Many Types of Metal Garden Furniture!

So, you've decided on metal garden furniture, how do you choose with so many choices? We'll try to help you out with some information making your decision simpler.  There are basically 3 different groups of metal garden furniture on the market today with many different sub groups. All groups of metal garden furniture have great qualities.  They have a classic but elegant appearance.  They all are extremely durable and will last for years with very easy upkeep.  The style or design options are limitless.  They all hold up to extreme weather conditions very well.

Wrought Iron
The English began creating metal garden furniture out of iron for wealthy estates in the early 19th century.  This process was done in foundries with huge furnaces' where the iron could be melted than poured into different shapes and then formed by hand with traditional blacksmithing skills.  Today, it is very uncommon to find real wrought iron furniture.

Mild steel
Most of what you will find sold today is made from mild steel.  Steel is very cost effective and is much faster to produce.  Mild steel can be easily formed into and style or design.  Steel is much harder than wrought iron.  Because of this reason it is a great substitute.

Cast Aluminum
Aluminum first came out in the early 1960's and was primarily black.  It is powder coated and this stuff is so tuff and durable.  It resists chipping and scratching.  Cast aluminum patio furniture can be found in any color.  It is a classic look like wrought iron and teak and it's much cheaper.  It's light weight so it can be moved easily, clean up with just some soapy warm water

If you have made up your mind on metal garden furniture you cannot go wrong with any of the above choices.  Considering the amount of space you have to work with may be the determining factor in your final choice.  Maybe you have a small space and a Bristol set (table and 2 chairs) will meet your needs.  In some circumstances maybe a well placed bench for relaxing on those long sunny summer afternoons. I hope this information has provided you what you need to narrow down your choices.  What are you waiting for let's go shopping.
